THE WILL AND PLAN AND CALL OF GOD

 QUESTIONS:

 What is the most important thing in your life?  - Your highest priority?  Make a list, in order.

 Define "the Kingdom of God":

 What does it mean to "seek first the Kingdom"?

 Where is that verse found?

 What is the difference, if any, between "the Kingdom of God" and "the Kingdom of Heaven"?

 Which is better, secular work or work in church-related activities?

 If your friend, who lives only a short distance away, is sick, asks you to come and pray for him, and you have the time, and know that you could heal him if you went, should you go?

 If your phone rings, should you answer it?

 True, or False:  "You are not a half decent person, unless you `beat the roosters up" every morning."?   Discuss "work ethic".

 How can we know the will of God?

 Romans 8:14 says that "the sons of God are led by the Holy Spirit".  Are we sons of God if we are not led by the Holy Spirit?  "The wind bloweth where it listeth..."  Jn. 3:8

 How does a "soulish" person determine the will of God?

 How does a "fleshly" person determine the will of God?

 How does a "religious" person determine the will of God?

 How does a "spiritual" person determine the will of God?

 If God tells you to do plan B, and the apostles and prophets tell you to do plan A, what should you do?

 Should a wife be submissive to her husband in everything?

 What percentage of your waking moments are spent being led by the Holy Spirit, or doing the will of God?  In this last week?  This last month?  This last year?  Be honest.

KINGDOM CITIZENS

 Kingdom citizens are those who do what the King wants.  Here are some verses:

 Not everyone who says to me, `Lord', `Lord', will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he (or she) who DOES the will of My Father Who is in heaven."  Mat.6:33

 You are my friends IF you do what I command you." John 15:14

 My brother, mother, sister, is he (or she) who DOES the will of My Father." Mark 3:35

 Yahweh utters His voice before His army, and strong is he (or she) who carries out His word."  Joel 2:11

 "Why call ye Me `Lord', and do not the things that I say?" Lk.6:46

 "If you love Me, keep My commandments." John 14:15

 Those who do the will of God abide forever." I Jn.2:17

 THE WILL OF GOD

 One of the most often asked questions in life, in Christendom and in counseling, is,<+!> "How to know the will of God."

 Come to accept and know the importance of doing the will of God.

 easy believism, sloppy agape, false teaching, wrong doctrine, sloppy thinking, negative brainwashing and self deception, can work to get us to think that doing the will of God is neither important or: necessary

 not important

 not possible

not punishable

 Here are some examples of <+!>wrong thinking:<-!>

 Every body's gonna be saved."

 Hell is not hot."

 Hell does not last very long." 

 The punishment won't be very bad, or very long." 

 God doesn't do bad things."  (Stress the importance of reading the Old Testament.)

 God knows everything ahead of time." (ultra-fatalism)  "God's foreknowledge is causative"

 We can't keep from sinning." - "No body's perfect."

 He's always ready to forgive."  "Light", or "shallow `repentance'"

 There's no God."  atheist

 No one can know God." - agnostic

 Be born-again.

 Be totally,totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally<+!> committed to do the perfect will of God.<-!>  John 7:17 says that if any one is totally committed to do the will of God, that he or she will know what the perfect will of God is. I

n fact, this point may be even a rightful first step to knowing the will of God.  If a heathen who knows nothing about God, earnestly and sincerely wants to know and do the will of God, I firmly believe that God will assume responsibility to reveal Himself

and His will to that person.

 Confess every known sin, and stay free from sin<-!>.  "But your sins have separated you from God, that He will not hear"     "If I regard iniquity in my heart, Yahweh will not hear me."

 Be filled with the Holy Spirit<-!>

 Know "The King's Greatest Secret!"<-!> well enough to teach it.  Know firmly that we do not have to sin, and that we must not.

 Know the Word of God. <-!> (Stress the importance of reading the Bible all the way through.)  "Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I may not sin against God."

 Realize the importance of "hamartano" <-!>- "hamartia" = missing the mark - that NOT doing the will of God  is not the will of God. 

 Fear God. <-!> "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom:"

 We must have a clear <+!>understanding of "divine order".<-!>

 Have it clear that if God tells us to do plan "B", and everyone else is telling us to do plan "A",  that we must do the will of God, uncompromisingly. Kingdom Principle: "We must always listen to, and obey, the voice of  God, through whomever He speaks, eve

n if He is speaking through a woman, a child, a stranger or a donkey, but we must never do the will of the devil, regardless of through whom he speaks, even if he is speaking through the mightiest apostle."

 Follow the way of Peace:  <-!>We must have godly fear, lest we fail to hear God speak to us through the dear ones, yet, ultimately, we are responsible to follow the "Way of Peace".  "What so ever is not of faith, is sin." 

 The peace of God will garrison and mount guard over our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."  We must walk before God with a clear conscience, with uncompromising integrity, and with peace in our heart.

 Realize that fickle feelings and vacillating<-!><+!> emotions are not reliable indicators of the will of God.<-!>

 Know the difference between religious works, dead works, idle words and "Kingdom activity."

 Know the difference between "work ethic" and the will of God.  "What must we do to work the works of God?"   "Believe on Him Whom He hath sent." John 6:28, 29<-!>Know that the leading of the Holy Spirit can really seem weird, unusual and strange, by the standards of the person who is thinking "logically". :The natural man 1 Cor.2:14 & 15

 A right spirit, right heart attitude is always the will of God. 

<-!>Worship is always the will of God.  <-!>1 Thes.5 16-18 says, "Rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

 I will praise Yahweh at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
