 SMART!  or  STUPID

by john roy bohlen & John 5:30

The Bible has much to say about wisdom, it also has much to say about foolishness, or stupidity.

Jesus Yahshua told us about the importance of not calling anybody stupid, or an empty headed idiot. {REF?

Here are some areas the I believe should be underscored as to wisdom verses foolishness:

An over-all teaching on "Cause and Effect" and the Heart of God, would be important here.

Body stewardship:  Eat right, drink right, exercise right, (See our teaching on the subject.

Driving a car: the stupidity of tail-gating: (If a deer or a child jumped in front of the car in front of us, and the driver in front of us suddenly locked on his or her brakes, would we be able to avoid hitting them).

driving recklessly, too fast, of not concentrating, of driving sleepy, the importance of leaving enough time to get places.  The importance of not allowing ourselves to be distracted by phones, kids, reading, worship, etc.

Walking :  The magic of it, the importance of it, the doing of it, do it!

Stair climbing:  Every member of our family has fallen, at one time or another, on our up-stairs steps in our house.  The one exception is me.  But there is a reason that I have not fallen.  It is because I "take heed lest I fall" {ref?}   You see, I am rather portly, at 6' in height, I am over 300 pounds in weight.  (But not for long, I trust!)  (My target weight is 220 to 240 by Feast of Tabernacles, 2003, and, for the rest of my life.  That's 100 pounds less than I weigh right now!!!)   My feet are large, I wear a size 16, when I can find them, otherwise a size 15.  My feet are so long that with narrow steps, like those in our home, I must either go down them side ways, but most of the time, I go down backwards, holding on to both hand rails!   Other people, more light footed and fleet footed, run up and down the stairs as thought the steps are not a danger, and so, falls can occur.

Playing:  Not overdoing it, nor letting the competitive drive overdrive us

Working: lifting, pacing ourselves, hurting our back, dead works, idle works,

Humility:  Reminding each other and ourselves that we can do nothing, are nothing

Thinking positive:  out-look, perspective, negativity, weltanshauung, See our article, "I's2c" ("Eyes To See!")

Giving:  the 100-fold return, being led by the Holy Spirit.

Entertainment and recreation: of being led, and being righteous, of being wise in the choice and selection of activities.

 Spending:

Mechanics:  It is important to keep sufficient oil, water, and other fluid levels proper, to insure that we are not driving the car in other than drive.
