GENETIC ENGINEERING & GOD

  There is, in the scientific world, that which is known as "genetic engineering".  This is when scientists take the building blocks of the nature or characteristics and isolate them, the genes and sections of the DNA of living things, and blend them with other genes and sections of other living things, whether it be plant, animal, fish, reptile, insect, human, bird, or whatever.  For example, they can identify a gene in a fish that enables that fish to withstand the cold, and put it into a tomato to enable the tomato to withstand the cold.  Scientists can, by gene manipulation, identify, isolate, extract any number of human characteristics, and build for themselves whatever kind of human or animal they want, emphasizing whatever human or animal characteristic they want.  Characteristics like intelligence, artistic ability, sports or athletic ability, strength, resistance to disease, hair color, eye color, etc., can all be altered, simply by blending, changing, injecting, adding or removing building block characteristics, the genes, the DNA particles.

  Another example, they can take the inclination toward vitamin C from a citrus, and inject it into a tomato.  They have taken beta carotene, or vitamin A characteristics from say, a carrot, or other beta carotene, and have produced a "yellow rice" that is vastly increased in its vitamin A content, for the purpose of reducing blindness resulting from a vitamin A deficiency.  But the research has not been done to discover whether or not this genetically altered rice will cause other problems, such as cancer, etc.  There are many examples of the problems that are created when man tries to mess with nature, such as the Japanese Beetle brought over as a pesticide, but resulting in the plague of these beetles.  Quite often, when experiments are done with CLONING, additional problems are created, in the form of weakness, disease, grotesque disfigurations, malfunctions and "freakishness".

  Yet, all of this causes me to wonder in the positive, about God's ability to create and blend and change and create and adapt in such a way as to heal and change and create within our lives and the lives of others.

  Most intriguing is the blending of His Nature, with ours.   God, Who created all of life and creation in the first place, can alter and change and adapt us, or any one, or anything, in the second, third and fourth place!!!

  He created everyone, and everything.  He created everything in the first place.  He created man and woman.  He breathed into man and man became a living soul.  God created the human sperm and the human egg, and, in a sense, remains the Great Human Gene Geneticist of All Time!!!

  Bible says that we "are fearfully and wonderfully made"!

  Bible says that "In Him, all things consist and are held together." 

  Bible says, that, "Without Him was not made that was made, and that all things were made by Him."

  Bible says that "Every living thing has its breath from God."

I am intrigued by the story of Ezekiel and the Dry Bones, when God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones and as a result, the bones came together, put on flesh and sinew, muscle and skin, rose up, and became a mighty army!!!   If God can do that, He can change us or anyone or anything.  If God created everyone and everything in the first place, then God can change anyone or anything in the second place.

Almighty God!   Mighty, mighty God. 

  Then, we have the whole concept of what can happen when God comes to live inside of us, and makes available to us, His entire Nature!!!   Can you just think about this for ever?  The idea of God blending, mixing, intermingling, injecting, miraculizing, injecting, His entire nature and Life and characteristics between us and Him?

  Bible says that our bodies become the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

  Bible talks about our becoming "a  partaker of the Divine Nature!"

  Bible says in Revelation 3:20, that, if we invite Christ Jesus Yahshua to come in, that He will come into us. 

  Bible talks about you can be innnn the Father

        and that the Father can be innnn you. 

Bible talks about how you can be innnnn the Holy Spirit,

        and how the Holy Spirit can be innnnnn you. 

  Bible talks about how you can be INnnn Jesus Christ,

and about how Jesus Yahshua Christ, can be INNNNN you.

  Bible asks the question, "Shall we take the ‘members of Christ' and, join them to a prostitute?"   God forbid.

  The Bible also talks about the oneness and unity that is created when a man and woman have intercourse, that they become "one flesh" or one nature.  Here is another kind of blending, intermingling.  But then, when the man's sperm cell and the woman's egg cell come together, another whole new created blended being comes into existence, that never existed before, except in the mind of God, or in the imagination of the man or woman.  Talk about genetic engineering!!!  It's been going on for centuries!!!

  Father God, I humbly ask that You continue and increase working in my life to change and blend and alter and manipulate and engineer and mess with and change me however and when ever and to what ever extent You want me to be changed.  Please feel free to change and mess with my opinions, my thinking, my health, my abilities, my desires, ambitions, hopes, visions, dreams, proclivities, interests, goals, thoughts, and everything within me.  Amen.  Thank You, Lord that You are able to change anything or anyone You want.  Thank You, dear Lord.  Amen.

  Change me, Father, by the very blending of Your very Nature within me.  Amen.  And, Amen.  In Yahshua Jesus' Name.  Amen.
