OH Hell PDF Print Write e-mail

by John Roy Bohlen & John 5:30

God is. He gave us the Bible. The Bible is True. You can bet your life on it. It is the Map for Life. Let me ask a question? If you have a map of your state, and want to go from one place to the other, but don't like the map with its mountains, rivers, chasms or deserts, how about taking a pen and changing the map to read however you want it to read. Draw a road, a bridge where there is none. That's how some people do with the Map of Life, the Bible. If they find something they don't like, they will invent new scriptures, or interpret obvious Scriptures opposite from their intended meaning. That's how the Jehovah's Witness Bible, the New World Translation came to be. Once upon a time, there was a man who did not like what the Bible had to say, so he wrote a new bible. For example, he did not like the idea of Hell, so he changed all the verses that talked about Hell. He did not like the idea of Jesus being God, so he changed those verses, too. He did not like the idea of Jesus as God, coming to live inside of us, so he changed those verses, too.

Do you like the idea of Hell? Of a hot fiery place where worms eat and the fire will heat a person for ever? Of eternal torment? Of inescapable pain? If I were the devil, I would make a suggestion to you in your ear, in your mind: I would suggest that you just change and interpret any Bible verse you want, to turn down Hell's temperature and shorten Hell's time.

People Who worry about Pleasing God PDF Print Write e-mail

Remember the story of Cinderella II? After the wedding and the honeymoon, the Prince calls Cinderella up from his office and says, "Yo Cindy! Let's have a picnic! Pack a lunch and pick me up at the corner of 5th and Vine, and we'll go to yonder lake under yonder tree on the red and white checkered table cloth, and let's have a happy time!"

But, at the picnic, we see that Cindy ain't having much fun. She is concerned about her hair, concerned about her make-up, concerned about her performance, her words, her gestures, her looks, her selection of cheese, bread, meat and drink - so much so that she is not enjoying the Prince, the sky, the food, the time, the tree, the lake, the drink, her clothes, her health, her marriage, her life, her shoes, the grass, the fresh air, the clouds, her last heart beat, her pain free moments, her ability to breathe, her healthy kidneys, lungs. liver, pancreas, heart or bones.

And, because she is morbidly preoccupied about all of these other things, the Prince isn't having so much fun either. He is dismayed and perhaps angry at her mentality.

"The miracle shall come, but unless ALL glory and credit goes to God, the curse shall follow - NOT a blessing. Do not give the human, the credit, but give all of the credit and the glory to God. If not, then a curse will result - not a blessing. We are to run, Run, RUN from the praise, the credit, the glory, the honor, eetc. Take NO credit - NONE, none. But give God ALLLLLLLL the credit, the honor, the praise!"

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2003: Joshua and Tara at the farm.

God has a problem.  He has many of them, actually.

Before we focus on one specific problem God has, let me list several:

1)  God wants our love, without messing with our free will.  John 3:16.

2)  God wants our fellowship, even intimacy with us, without interferring with our free will.  Jesus said, in Matt 23:37  “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.”  (NAS)

And in Luke 13:34  “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it!”  (NAS)

3)  God does not want us to sin, and does His best to keep us from sinning, but without interferring with our free will.  God says, in Isa 65:1  “I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me; I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me. I said, ‘Here am I.’,  ‘Here am I,’ to a nation which did not call on My Name.  2  I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in the way which is not good, following their own thoughts,  3  A people who continually provoke Me to My face, offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on bricks;”

There are more problems, I suppose that God has, but one of them is, number 4, that one of His main problems is how to bless us without hurting us, by blessing us too much.  He loves us so much.  He is actually eager and has great desire to bless us.  But He knows that if He blesses us with too much, too soon, that He can hurt us, injure us, cause us harm and damage and disadvantage.  He can also hurt Himself, if He blesses us with too much, too soon.

For example, God wants to give people miracle power, or wealth, or health or other blessings, without these blessings resulting in hurting and/or ruining a person’s life with pride, or with the worship of others.

These blessings can include: “fruit”, “results”, “success”, numbers, finances, people’s adulation, hero-worship, man-worship, fame, attention, or other forms of ego-stroking.

One of Yahweh’s description Names or Titles, is “Quanna”!  This Hebrew word from the Bible means “Jealous”.  My Name is “Jealous”.

Exod 34:14  “For you shall not worship any other god, for the LORD (YAHWEH), Whose Name is ‘Jealous’, is a jealous God--”  (NAS)

I just had a dream in which I was at a meeting where there was a lady lying sick or dead, for whom I was led to pray.  When I did so, with gentleness and compassion, a great creative miracle took place and, although she had been previously ministered to, some of the people around her did not seem to have the faith, she was stood on her feet and was made completely whole.  But then a problem took place.  She, and others, I suppose, wanted to give me the credit, so much so, that when I started to refuse the credit and the honour for having done the miracle, she became almost a kind of compulsive predator, in that, she became almost more determined to give me the credit for the miracle than I was determined to NOT receive the credit, the honor, the glory, the reward.

In the dream, when she and perhaps others tried to give me the credit for having healed her, I remember running for the exit, then out the door, running for the truck, to avoid receiving or being given the credit for the miracle.  She, and, perhaps, others actually chased me, so much so, that I had to flee for my safety, moral and otherwise.

We, most of us, spend a great deal of time, trouble, effort, energy and expense, trying to look good, trying to be well thought of, earning or winning the approval of others.  We want to look good, be thought of as being successful, being well thought of - for our success in life, in God.  We want to be perceived as being mature, humble, spiritual, successful, fruitful, etc.  It is easy to become jealous of others for their “success”.

God knows, and He wants us to know that “Pride goes before a fall.”

If God is estimating, and calculating that we will become arrogant, or control freaks by becoming “successful” in Him, then He will be slow to grant us this kind of success.  If by giving us power or money or fame, God thinks that we will become arrogant or that others will give us too much honor or credit, to our hurt, then God Himself will sometimes actually withhold that power or finance or fame or “success”.  Jesus said, in John 16:12  “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.”  (ASV)  One of the reasons I believe that we can not bear them now, is that if God revealed His secrets to us too soon, those revelations might bring us to damage or ruin.

The Bible says in Job 31:27, “(If) my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:”  (KJV)  Here, the Lord is discouraging us from secretly kissing our own hand.  I believe that this passage is encouraging us to not give ourselves too much credit, to not, as the saying goes, “break our arm in the process of patting ourselves on the back”.  God does not want us to to work too hard at “tooting our own horn”, puffing up ourselves, giving ourselves the credit, making ourselves looking too good.  I believe that God Himself will insure or allow ourselves to not look too good in the eyes of others, just so they and we will understand that we are not to receive the credit for looking good, but that God Himself is to receive the credit, the honor, the glory, the adulation, the reward.

It is too easy to become arrogant, to become proud, to forget that “It is He that has made us, and not we ourselves.”

Ps 100:3  “Know that the LORD (Yahweh) Himself is God; it is He Who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.  4  Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.  Give thanks to Him; bless His Name.”  (NAS)

The great king Nebuchadnezzar was judged by God when he, the king, took the credit for his greatness, when he said to himself, “I did all these mighty works!”  Yahweh Himself saw too it that Neb’ went insane for 7 seasons, crawling on his hand and knees, eating grass, until he became aware that it was Yahweh God Who gave him the enablement, and until he gave God the glory.   King Neb’ learned his lesson, but at a terrible price.

Matt 7:22  “Many will say to Me on that day,

‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name,

and in Your Name cast out demons,

and in Your Name perform many miracles?’

23  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ ”  (NAS)

It could be that the deeds were done, by the will of God, but not with the proper motivation.

Brenda, from Bismarck, Told her son to vacuum the floor, but, instead he washed his window, squeezing the bottle, but the heart was rebellious, because he was not doing what his mother asked or wanted him to do.  We must have that intimacy with and be pleasing to Jesus.

Bickle: “Defining yourself in terms of your difficulties or challenges.”

Joshua:  God enjoys me, in spite of the things I have done., or that may think I am.”

Some of the words that seemed to come, immediately upon awakening from this first dream were as follows:

“The miracle shall come, but unless ALL glory and credit goes to God, the curse shall follow - NOT a blessing.  Do not give the human, the credit, but give all of the credit and the glory to God.  If not, then a curse will result - not a blessing.  We are to run, Run, RUN from athe praise, the credit, the glory, the honor, eetc.  Take NO credit - NONE, none.  But give God ALLLLLLLL the credit, the honor, the praise!”

0824 A.M.:  More dreaming.  My soul, my spirit, my body is stirred!!!  Instuctions about the work of God and His Kingdom, coming faster than I can record it.  I need to get some tapes for the tape recorder, so I can talk these revelations on tape to be typed up.

The Theme continues that God is to continue to receive all the glory for everything good.  There will be supernatural judgement against all lies.  No one is to fake a healing, not to exaggerate claims of healing or prowess or skill or ability in God.  All credit, all glory, all adulation is to go to God, Papa Yahweh.  Amen.

The media is to be allowed, as long as they promise to report accurately.  If they lie or exaggerate to the positive or to the negative, God will judge them.  There is to be only accurate reporting.

It has started.  It has begun.

There was one case of a crippled person who could hardly stand.  The healing was on its way, but delayed, when it occurred to me to allow others with Christ within to come and quickly lay on hands.

I believe that the End-Time Revival is on its way.  I believe that it has begun.  I believe that this will be much bigger than, but can include Brownsville, Toronto, Azuza, and can include any church or ministry that will allow God to move, but any church and any ministry any person can and will be destroyed if there is lying, abuse of authority, selfishness, jealousy, stealing, misuse of money, competitiveness, rebellion, back-biting, gossip, sowing of discord, hatred, etc.  The giving will be courageous and constant.

The move is on, my Lord, the move is on.

The glory goes to God.

All glory goes to God.

All credit goes to God.  Amen.  Amen.

God wants the glory to go to Him.  Amen

in Response to His 60th Birthday

by John Roy Bohlen & John  5:30,

If there is anything about me that is good or fine,

All the glory goes to God, so divine.

If I ever say a word that's an encouraging line,

All the credit goes to God, this King of mine.

Only God is good.

It is only that God could

Be anything lovely, at any time,

So give Christ all the glory.

So let this always be my story:

It is God - It is Christ - and none of mine.

Give to me a crown.

I will cast it down,

At the feet of Papa Yahweh so sublime.

The human heart can not muster,

Only God can give the luster.

Give the credit not to me,

But to God, divine.

God wants His Name to be:

  • Known,
  • Used,
  • Understood,
  • Appreciated, and
  • Taught!

The devil does NOT want God's Name to be:

  • Known,
  • Used,
  • Understood,
  • Appreciated, or
  • Taught.

What is the Name of the King of the Kingdom of God?  Who is the King?  What is His Name?  We have asked this question of ministers at ministers' seminars that we have conducted, and, there have been times when no minister knew His Name!  Will you take a moment to make a guess as to what you believe God's Name to be?  You may even make a list of names.

Now, isn't this strange?  Here we have millions of people who claim to live in a Kingdom with a King, Whom they consider to be their close friend, with Whom they speak, to Whom they submit petitions, on Whom they depend, Whom they hold dear, but they do not know His Name!!!  Isn't that amazing??!!.

Once upon a time, a Greek philosopher named Plato sat down, (at least I think he sat) and decided to figure God out.  He thought and he thought, until he thought that if there was a God, and if this God were really a great God, that this God would be great enough to know the future, that his God would be great enough to know when you are going to blink your eyes, clear your throat, or go potty.

The Moslem god, Allah, knows the future.  He knows when you are going to die, and how.  With Allah, there is no need to drive safely, wear a seat belt, or keep your car in good repair, because, if Allah wants you dead, there ain't nothing you can do to prevent it, and if he wants you alive, nothing careless or unwise you do can kill you.

Most people who call themselves Christians, whether they are born-again or not, are divided up into those people called Armineanists, and there are people called Calvinists.  Which one of these are you?

Throne Room Mentality PDF Print Write e-mail

by John Roy Bohlen &  John 5:30

When I stand before Christ, the Judge of all the Universe, the Creator King of Everything, I have been wanting and planning and intending that God criticize me and scold me for something.  I want God to scold me before the innumerable crowd of people, before the Throne, out of every tongue, kindred, tribe and nation, for believing God for too much, too soon.
