Phil 2:13 "For it is God Which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure." (KJV)

John 5:17 "But He answered them, 'My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.' " (NAS)

John 5:19 "Jesus therefore answered and was saying to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and greater works than these will He show Him, that you may marvel. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.' " (NAS)

John 5:30 " 'I can do nothing on My Own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me." (NAS)

John 8:28 "Jesus therefore said, 'When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My Own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. 29 And He Who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.' " (NAS)

I suppose that most people do not realize that we are totally, utterly, completely dependent upon God.

Unless God saves us, we cannot be saved.

Unless God sustains us, we cannot be sustained.

  • Ditto: helped
  • Ditto:enabled.

Every breath - a gift from God.

Every heart-beat - ditto.

Every clear and coherent thought - ditto.

Every pain-free moment - ditto.

The ability to see, smell, sit, walk, stand, think, sing, speak, give, keep our balance, read, smile, move, hear: all of these - a gift from God.

Jesus said it right, when He said, "I can do nothing from Myself, [independently, of My Own accord, - but as I am taught by God, and, as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge. [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the Voice comes to Me, so I give a decision.] and My judgement is right(just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My Own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My Own aim, My Own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me." From the Amplified Bible, John 5:30

And, in John 5:19, "So Jesus (Yahshua) answered them by sayiung: 'I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself(of His Own accord): but His is able only to do what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Sondoes in the same way [in His turn].' "

In John 14, Jesus talks about our utter, horrible helplessness, and our hideous hopelessness without His hope and help. For we are hideously helpless, and horribly hopeless without God's hope and God's help. Verse 4: "Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you] Just as no branch can bear fruit if itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me." Then Jesus Yahshua says, in verse 5, "I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing."

Therefore, Dear Darling Papa Daddy Yahweh, and Precious Yahshua Jesus, and Blessed Ruach HaKodesh: I am and we are utterly, completely, horribly, wonderfully, totally, at Your mercy, in everything, at all times, magnificently, gloriously. Amen.
